Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut on April 16 at the Wankhede Stadium against KKR. In the four appearances he has made for Mumbai Indians since then, Arjun has featured as a bowler, picking up three wickets with the new ball at an economy rate of 9.36 with impressive skill.
On Tuesday, in the match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, Arjun Tendulkar got his first chance to show his all round ability when he came in at No.9 for MI. And he immediately sent the fans into overdrive with a nonchalant six that left even bowler Mohit Sharma stunned.
Arjun walked in after Piyush Chawla was run out after a mix-up in the first ball of the 18th over. A delivery later, he faced his very first ball in the IPL against Mohit when he pushed a length ball towards the sweeper for one.
In the next over, Joshua Little bowled some tight lines as Arjun Tendulkar could only manage singles in the three deliveries he faced before going for the big one in the final over against Mohit.

The bowler banged and Arjun Tendulkar exuding the same composure his father had when at the crease during his glorious years of dominance in world cricket, nonchalantly dragged it over deep square leg for a six.
The IPL graphics showed it was a 77-metre strike, leaving fans emotional on social media. When the six was shown playing, Mohit’s reaction was revealed. After looking at the ball sail high over the boundary ropes, he was left in shock.
Mohit immediately changed the line to wide off and was rewarded two deliveries later when Arjun chased the slower one for a six over long-on but the fielder was found. He eventually departed for 13 off nine.
They were never in a rush in Bombay. After losing skipper Rohit Sharma cheaply, the visitors could not break through in the power play before the duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad cleaned up the line-up with five wickets between them to expose the lower order.
Nehal Wadhera and Piyush showed some hope with their lusty knocks to at least deny that MI are losing out on pure pace significantly. But a crushing loss of 55 runs did the damage.
