After the owner of an event company filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Yo Yo Honey Singh and others for getting him stopped and assaulted, the rapper hit back. On Thursday, Honey Singh took to Instagram to respond to the “false and baseless” allegations against him.
He also warned that his legal team plans to file a defamation suit against the person accusing him of kidnapping and assault. Police have filed a complaint against Honey Singh for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting an event organizer in Mumbai, officials said on Thursday.
According to the Mumbai Police, a person named Vivek Raman filed a written complaint against Honey Singh and others at the BKC police station. The matter is under investigation, the police added.

“The complaint and allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company and the complainant that the media has been showing since morning. I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company called Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow.
I did my performance for whatever time I was allowed. All such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My legal team is already working to file a defamation case against such scoundrels,” Honey Singh wrote in Instagram post. In his caption, he wrote: “Just keep rocking bro (lion emoji) don’t worry about the charges.”
According to a police complaint filed on April 19, complainant Vivek Raman had organized a program for the singer at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai on April 15. Due to errors in the money transaction, the event had to be canceled.
In his complaint to the BKC police, the complainant alleged that the cancellation of the event disgusted Honey Singh and his associates, who later kidnapped him, held him hostage in a Mumbai hotel and assaulted him. He demanded that a case be registered against Honey Singh and the singer and his associates be arrested, police said.
