Toyota Motor, the world’s largest automaker in terms of sales, has announced its plans to resume production at some of its group plants on Monday. This move comes in the aftermath of a recent accident at one of its suppliers’ facilities that disrupted production.
On Friday, Toyota revealed that it will restart production on five lines at four plants that were temporarily halted due to the accident at supplier Chuo Spring. However, eight lines at six plants will continue to remain suspended.
The lines that will remain suspended include one line at Toyota’s Takaoka plant, as well as lines at plants managed by Toyota’s group companies, namely, Toyota Auto Body, and Gifu Auto Body.
