HP chief RS Bali has issued guidelines to ensure the safety of tourists and Amid incessant rains

Amid incessant rains in the Himachal Pradesh state, tourism chief RS Bali has issued guidelines to ensure the safety of tourists and the general public. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Board and Tourism Corporation Director RS Bali said that the weather conditions were not a cause for panic in the state as all day-to-day activities in the state were not disrupted.

“It is not a state of panic in our state, our schools, colleges and offices are working. There is nothing to stop the daily work of the state,” said the head of the Tourism Development Council.

Bali further added that the tourism department feels some responsibility to issue guidelines to the people visiting the state and that there are certain recommendations that the people of the state and tourists must take into consideration.

Visitors are advised to drive carefully and have their cell phones on location in case they get stranded due to rain. If the visitors are going for some trekking expeditions, it is recommended to start the expedition with a professional guide, said the head of HP Tourism department.

Bali also reported that no national or state highways were closed due to the rain and that all roads were open in the state.

“All roads are open in the state. And people are moving freely across Himachal Pradesh,” said the head of HP’s tourism department.

Bali also appealed to the people of the state to follow all the advisories issued and ordered tourists to register with the state authorities to initiate contact in case they get stranded or lost while trekking.

“As head of the tourism department, I feel it is my duty to urge people to heed the warnings and urge them to enjoy the rain, fog and mist. Those traveling from abroad,” he said.

I would ask visitors to register with the authorities so we can contact them if they are hiking or off-roading in the area. All roads here are passable, with the exception of a few rural ones. Panic is setting in due to these reports and all HPTDC hotels are sold out, he further added.

Bali added, “If you compare Himachal Pradesh with any other state, it is the highest mountain destination in the country. It is safe and peaceful without being particularly beautiful. I believe tourists have been coming here and will continue to come here,” The India Meteorological Department predicted rain in most parts state within the next three to four days.

Talking about the rainfall in the state, a tourist from Sonipat Ashu said, “I came from Punjab and wanted to visit Manali but I got to know that due to heavy rain the roads are closed and people are stuck. So now I am not.” I don’t want to go to Manali and return home from Shimla just because it is still raining in the region.”

Another tourist from Punjab said they had planned a five-day tour but canceled their trip to Manali due to bad weather conditions in the state.

“We planned a five-day tour. We wanted to go to Kullu-Manali, but due to bad weather and landslide, we are canceling our trip to Manali and will return from Shimla. We have come to know that the roads are not good.” and there have been cloudburst incidents so we will not move further and return from here,” said Ashu Khatri, a tourist. The weather bureau in the state said that bookings in the hilly region have been canceled due to this. to landslides and bad weather conditions.
