Washington, US: Jenifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon starrer American TV series ‘The Morning Show’ has been resumed for the third season.
It has been reported that Charlotte Stoudt will take over from Kerry Ehrin as the showrunner for the upcoming season. Charlotte Stoudt has worked on ‘Homeland’ and ‘House of Cards’.
Kerry Ehrin had developed ‘The Morning Show’ and served as showrunner on the first and second seasons. She will now serve as a consultant on the third season while continuing to develop new series for Apple TV+. The news comes after the second season launched in September and ran through November.
“It has been thrilling to watch The Morning Show go from strength to strength over the past two seasons, exploring topical storylines that have resonated with audiences around the world while also being incredibly addictive and entertaining,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, in a statement.
Witherspoon, whose Hello Sunshine production company is the producer, shared her excitement over the renewal of the show on Instagram. “So excited to bring y’all a third season of ‘The Morning Show’,” she wrote. Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, and Janina Gavankar are also a part of the drama.
