Teenager jumps from 6th floor in East Delhi

New Delhi: In East Delhi’s Mandawali area, a teenager allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the sixth floor of a building, the police said on Sunday.

The deceased was 15 years old and was a resident of the Commonwealth Games village. No suicide note was found from the spot, police added.

The incident took place around 8.30 pm on Saturday when he was alone at home and the parents had gone to Mayur Vihar market. The neighbors took him to Max Hospital where he was declared dead after treatment, said Priyanka Kashyap, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East).

The spot was inspected by a crime team and experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory team. So far no foul play is suspected and an enquiry is on, she added.
