Sri Lanka is raising fuel prices, encouraging people to work from home

Sri Lanka has increased fuel prices by 20-24% on Tuesday and increased diesel by 35% -38%, said Energy and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.

In a message on Twitter, Wijesekera said transport costs imposed by the government and others would increase in the same way. “Working from home will be encouraged to reduce fuel consumption and control the electricity crisis,” he added.
