Pakistan’s 34-member Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s cabinet was sworn in on Tuesday a few days later, with Senate Speaker SadiqSanjrani swearing in new ministers as President ArifAlvi did not attend the event, but President Alvi refused to take the oath of office, forcing the government to suspend it.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was not among the ministers. Earlier, there were speculations that he would become the country’s next foreign minister. Earlier, 31 government ministers and three state ministers vowed to join Prime Minister Sharif. Last week, Sanjrani made the oath of office of Prime Minister Sharif after President Alvi, a member of the party of ousted prime minister Imran Khan in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, went on an ‘sick leave’ before the inauguration of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader (PML-N).
The Sharif-Nawaz Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) received 13 services and nine services to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Four services were given to JamiatUlema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and MuttahidaQaumi the Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) received two services. Other allies include the BalochistanAwami Party (BAP), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and JamhoriWatan Party (JWP) have received one service in a new set. Two PML-N provincial ministers and one state minister from the PPP were also nominated. One PPP member and two PML-N members have been appointed as advisers to the Prime Minister.

PML-N sworn in representatives are Khwaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, AyazSadiq, Rana Tanveer, KhurramDastgir, SaadRafique, MianJaved Latif, MianRiazPirzada, MurtazaJavedAbbasi, AzamNazir, MarriyumAuahze Ismail. Shah, Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, Abdul Qadir Patel, Shazia Marri, Murtaza Mahmood, Sajid Hussain Tori, Ehsan-ur-Rehman and Abid Hussain from the PPP also joined the Cabinet.Asad Mahmood, Abdul Wasay , Mufti Abdul Shakur and Senator Talha Mahmood from JUI-F and Syed AminulHaq and Faisal Sabzwari MQM-P are also in the Cabinet. IsrarTarin of BAP, ShahzainBugti of JWP and Tariq Bashir Cheema of PML-Q were also included in the cabinet. Amir Muqam of the PML-N, Qamar Zaman Kaira of the PPP and Aun Chaudhry of the Jahangir Tareen faction are prime ministers. Ayesha Ghous Pasha, Abdul RehmanKanjo and Hina Rabbani Khar are state ministers in the new Cabinet. these ministers are yet to be announced.
