New Zealand reopen its international border soon July 31 said Prime Minister

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Wednesday the country would reopen its international borders from 11:59 p.m. on July 31, cruise ships were also welcome back to the local ports that day.

The opening of the border at the end of July is two months ahead of the government’s deadline and will mean that tourists seeking visas will be able to come to New Zealand.

Ardern said in a speech at the Business NZ lunch in Auckland that opening borders would help alleviate emergency skills shortages, open up tourism and put immigration arrangements in a safer place.”We are building on our proven plan to secure the economic future of New Zealand,” Ardern said.
