Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to develop First and Last Mile Connectivity through Ropeways, Minister of Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari and Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur, MoS Shri V. K. Singh saw the signing of a MoU between NHLML (National Highways Logistics Management Limited) and the Himachal Pradesh Regional Government for the construction of Ropeways in Himachal Pradesh under the aspiring ParvatmalaYojana. They also reviewed the ongoing development projects in the State. The event was also attended by senior government officials.
This is an important MoU that will help visitors experience a unique, environmentally friendly, well-located and seamless experience. Using state-of-the-art technology, 7 ropeway projects with a length of 57.1km at a total cost of Rs 3,232 Crore will be built in Government is given below :
ā¢PalampurThatri – 13.5km Chhunja Glacier with a cost of Rs. 605 pounds.
ā¢ShirgulMahadev Temple to Chudhar (District – Sirmour) 8 km long at a cost of Rs. 250 million.
ā¢ Community – Church (District – Bilaspur) 3 km long and cost Rs. 150 million.
ā¢Himani to Chamunda (Kangra District) 6.5 km long and costs Rs. 289 pounds.
ā¢Bijli Mahadev Temple (District – Kullu) of 3.2 km in length at a cost of Rs. 200 Crore.
ā¢Bharmour to Bharmani Mata Temple 2.5 km long at a cost of Rs. 120 million.
ā¢Killar to Sacch Pass (District – Chamba) of 20.4 km long and costs Rs. 1618.
