“Laapataa Ladies,” directed by Kiran Rao, has been selected as the opening film of the second edition of the IFFM Summer Festival. The film promises an intriguing storyline set in rural India in 2001, revolving around two young brides who get separated during a train journey and the subsequent investigation by a police officer named Kishan, portrayed by Ravi Kishan.
Produced under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, “Laapataa Ladies” boasts a talented ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Nitanshi Goel. With its unique narrative and stellar cast, the film is set to captivate audiences upon its release on March 1, 2024.
