Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed concern about the dumping of waste at Uttarakhand’sKedarnath during ‘Char DhamYatra’. Speaking during his monthly radio talk show, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he also said that various images had appeared in the sanctuary. “Meanwhile, the sacred ‘Char-Dham’ tour of Uttarakhand continues in our country. Thousands of volunteers come there every day, and especially to Kedarin. “People are sharing their wonderful experiences,” he said.
“But, I have also seen that the devotees are very sad because of the filth that is being spread by some travelers in Kedarnath. Many people have also expressed their views on social media. If we go on a holy journey and there is a lot of filth it is not right, ”added the prime minister.
In the comparison, he said: “Where there is faith, there is also a good result. There are many devotees serving Baba Kedar’sDham and practicing hygiene. Some clean up after themselves, while others clean up after themselves. ”
Lakhs of devotes have so far visited the sanctuary. Pornography has become quite commonplace on social media over the past few days as experts have expressed concern about a sensitive environment.
‘Char Dham’ was suspended for two years due to the Covid-19 epidemic. It started with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri sites for devotees to the Akshay Tritiya festival, a beautiful Hindu festival. While Kedarnath reopened on May 6, the doors of Badrinath reopened on May 8.
“The way plastic waste has accumulated in a critical area like Kedarnath is harmful to our ecology. It will lead to erosion that could lead to soil erosion. We must remember the tragedy of 2013,” said Professor MS Negi, head of the department of geography. at Garhwal Central University.
