The motto of the Indian Red Cross Society is Sewa and Sahyog said by Dr Mansukh Mandaviya

These also underline and define the motto of the Indian Red Cross Society, which is known for its work to help and assist humanity in times of need and distress”. This was stated by Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and IRCS Chairman while inaugurating the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) State/UT Executive Meeting here today.

The purpose of the two-day Chitan Shivir is to discuss ways and means to improve the functioning of IRCS. The meeting was attended by the chairmen, vice-chairmen, secretaries and other dignitaries from IRCS. Dr. Congratulating IRCS for its commendable work, Mansukh Mandaviya said that “Red Cross is synonymous with hope and ‘Asha’ for people. It embodies credibility and an assured presence”. India has not only managed COVID using successful regional models but has provided international support to many countries through Vaccine Maitri medicines and vaccines. It is commendable that our medicines did not falter in quality and we did not take advantage of the situation with higher prices. This reflects our deep adherence to the philosophy of Vasudeva Kutumbakam,” he pointed out. Dr. Mandaviya invited suggestions from the participants to start unique ventures and expand the scope of IRCS. Participants openly shared their thoughts on best practices and innovative efforts.
