India registers 2,85,914 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

New Delhi: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday that India logged 2,85,914 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The country’s active caseload stands at 22,23,018. According to the heath bulletin, the daily positivity rate is at 16.16 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is at 17.33 per cent.

The recovery rate is currently at 93.23 per cent with 2,99,073 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total recovery stands at 3,73,70,971.

An official release from the ministry said that as many as 72.05 crore tests have been conducted so far, where 17,69,745 tests have been done in the last 24 hours. A total of 163.58 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far.
