New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday a change in venues for the upcoming West Indies Tour of India.
Earlier it was announced that the series will be played at six venues, but due to the COVID-19 scare, the series has been limited to two venues.
The three ‘One Day Internationals’ will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, while the three T20Is will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
“The decision to limit the series to two venues instead of six as originally announced has been done to mitigate biosecurity risks by cutting down on travel and movement of the teams, match officials, broadcasters, and other stakeholders,” said the official BCCI release.
