100% centrally sponsored programme “NMCMSS” for Students whose parental income is not more than Rs. 3,50,000/ p.a

Last date to apply for “NMCMSS for 2022-23 extended to 15th October 2022” Under the “National Merit Scholarship Scheme” scholarships are given to deserving students from economically weaker sections to prevent them from not completing. in Class VIII and encourage them to continue their education at the secondary level. Selected students from IX. class, one lakh fresh scholarships are awarded every year and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for students studying in state government, government aided and local body schools. The scholarship amount is Rs. 12,000 per year.

The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) is hosted on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – a one-stop scholarship platform for students. NMMSS scholarships are paid directly to selected students’ bank accounts by electronic transfer through the Public Finance Management System (PFMS) in DBT mode. It is a 100% centrally sponsored programme. Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum are eligible for scholarships. Students must have minimum 55% marks or equivalent marks in class VII examination to appear in the selection test for award of scholarship (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST students). The last date for verification of INO (L1) level is 31 October 2022 and verification of DNO (L2) level is 15 November 2022.
