Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s “Fighter” Faces Ban in Gulf Countries Except UAE

January 24, 2024 Fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in Gulf countries are facing disappointment as their much-anticipated film “Fighter” has been denied release in all Gulf countries except the UAE. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, features Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, with Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in supporting roles.

Film business expert and producer Girish Johar shared the unfortunate news on Twitter, stating, “In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with PG15 classification!” The reason for the ban has not been disclosed, leaving fans and industry insiders curious about the decision.

The film is set to be an aerial action thriller and is slated for release in Indian theaters on January 25, 2024. The storyline is described as a tribute to the valour, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces.

While the ban in Gulf countries is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, the makers of “Fighter” are yet to provide an official statement regarding the situation. The film is produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, and the team had expressed high hopes and dedication for the project.

Despite the setback in the Gulf, the film is expected to draw significant attention upon its release in India, where fans have eagerly awaited the on-screen collaboration of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
