“The city of Farrukhabad has ties to the Mahabharat period. Once upon a time, this was the capital of King Drupada, and the area was known as Panchala. Draupadi’s’swayamvar’ took place there. During the ‘agyatvas,’ the Pandavas erected a temple, which is still standing today. It was known as the Panchal Kingdom’s capital. The Rajput regiment and the sikhlai regiment are the two largest regiments today “he penned
In an interview with ani, the MP acknowledged submitting a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlining his demands, saying that he wrote to the chief minister requesting that the city’s name be changed to Panchal Nagar in order to revitalize Indian culture.
“Kampilya, sankisa, shringirampur, and shamsabad were well-known here long before Farrukhabad was founded. With the intention of eradicating Indian historical culture, the mughal emperor Farrukhsiyar called this historical city Farrukhabad in 1714 ad. As a result, I have submitted a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathurging that Farrukhabad be renamed Panchal Nagar in order to revitalise Indian culture. We want the name to reflect our background and make people happy. We have demanded that it be called panchalnagar or aparakashi by the cm “he stated
“For followers of the Hindu and Jain faiths, this location is sacred. In Sankisa, travellers from all over the country and overseas visit Buddhist temples from a variety of countries, including Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma, and Japan. In addition, due to the’shivalaya’ in numerous streets, this city is also known as aparakashi, similar to Kashi “the member of parliament added.
