India’s chemical exports register for 106% growth in 2021-22 in 2013-14, India exports chemicals to more than 175 countries

Exports of Indian Chemicals registered 106% growth in 2021-22 in 2013-14. Chemical exports to India in 2021-22 reached a record US $ 29296 Million, while in 2013-14 India Chemical exports were US $ 14210 Million.

Growth in Chemical exports has been achieved due to increased exports of Organic, Inorganic Chemicals, Chemicals Agrochemicals, Dyes and Medium Dyes, Special Chemicals.

Today the Indian Chemical industry has become a global player and earns the country foreign exchange in the form of “Make in India”. India is the 6th largest Chemical Manufacturer in the world and the third largest in Asia. India is ranked 14th in chemical exports.

Today India leads in the production of Dyes and contributes 16% -18% of global dye sales. Indian dye is exported to more than 90+ countries. India is the fourth largest producer of agricultural chemicals in the world and produces more than 50% pesticide grade technology.

About 50% of agricultural chemicals are exported from India to name. India is the largest producer and exporter of castor oil in the world and is responsible for approximately 85-90% of the total total exports in this sector.

India exports to more than 175 countries and the leading destinations are USA, China and new markets. Turkey, Russia and Southeast Asian countries (China, Hongkong, Japan, Korea RP, Taiwan, Macao, Mongolia) have also been added.

The increase in chemical exports has been achieved as a result of ongoing efforts on the part of the Ministry of Trade, Indian Subscribers.
