National Electron Tomography Workshop for Biological specimens: New Delhi

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is organizing a five-day national workshop and training program (offline) from 9 to 13 May 2022. This training program was designed for capacity building under the programs of DST STUTI, DST SAFI and DBT SAHAJ.

The workshop will focus on providing introductory information for Electron Tomography (RT and cryo), manual sample preparation using plunge freezing, cryo-ultramicrotomy, or cryo focused- ion-beam, light extraction, cell growth grids, grid transfer to him. EM, and management, tilt series data collection, and IMOD processing and eTomo software. The workshop is organized in theory / methods and practical sessions simultaneously.

The workshop was opened yesterday by Prof. Randeep Guleria, Director of AIIMS New Delhi, before Prof Subrata Sinha, Dean Research AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Garima Gupta, GOI Department of Biotechnology, Prof A. Sharif, Head of Anatomy Department AIIMS.

Professor Mandipa Banerjee, IIT Delhi, Prof Suneel Kateriya JNU, Dr Gopal Jha NIPGR, New Delhi, Dr NK Prasanna Senior Scientist CSIR-NIScPR, New Delhi, Dr CV Srikanth RCB, New Delhi, Dr Prabhakar Singh EMF, Anatomy AIIMS, New Delhi , Dr. Pranay Tanwar, BRA IRCH, NIMS, New Delhi, Prof TC Nag, Incharge, Electron Microscope Facility AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Subhash Chandra Yadav, Additional Professor, Department of Anatomy AIIMS New Delhi and Dr. Ravi Prakash, scientist, Electron Microscope Facility, AIIMS New Delhi also joined the opening work. A vote of thanks was presented by Drs. Subhash Chandra Yadav.
