FC Barcelona has climbed to third place in La Liga after a comeback victory over Elche on Sunday at Manuel Martinez Valero Stadium. At a tense match in Elche, Barcelona collected three points. With opportunities from Joao Felix and Griezmann, the visitors might have increased their lead, but Thomas Lemar secured the triumph with a goal in the 80th minute.
With this victory, the reigning champions leapfrog Betis in the rankings to claim a place in the Champions League. Atletico Madrid currently has the same number of points as Barcelona, despite having played one more game.
