An Australian competition agency has sued Uber Technologies Inc UBER.N and demanded a $ 26 million fine ($ 18.69 million) in the car park after admitting that it misled consumers about ride rates and cancellation fees. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC on Tuesday said Uber had agreed that between December 2017 and September 2021 had warned consumers that they would be charged a cancellation fee even though cancellation was required during a “free cancellation.”

The ACCC has also claimed that Uber has admitted to defrauding the fare rates of its Uber Taxi option as its algorithm system will likely continue to increase its scope and fares will be less than the company’s cheapest rate.
