The Theater of Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah Darlings have impressed movie lovers with their lively storytelling style. Alia repeats the story of the mendak (frog) and bichoo (scorpion) in the teaser and even Shah Rukh Khan is impressed by how influential she is. She wrote on Instagram on Tuesday evening praising the film star.
Sharing these words on Instagram, Shah Rukh wrote, “Funny, Dark, Strange, Mendak, Bichoo and above all @shefalishahofficial and @ aliaabhatt. I can’t wait to watch the mix on #DarlingsOnNetflix. It will be released on August 5. ” Alia responded to her post on her Instagram Stories with heart icons. Alia Bhatt responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s post about the Darlings.
He also shared a refreshing gif of Neetu Kapoor who praised the film, “Awesome, can’t wait,” on his Instagram Stories.Darlings is a black, Mumbai comedian and also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew. The film explores the lives of two daughters who are trying to find their place in the city, seeking courage and love in unusual situations while struggling with all sorts of problems.
Alia shared two posters of the film again. One shows the approach of Alia making a pout face while holding a syringe in her hand with Vijay Varma tied at the end of it. Another poster shows Alia and Shefali enjoying a cup of tea while playing carrom and Vijay Varma is seen sitting among them handcuffed.
It is Alia’s first production work and will be shown for the first time on Netflix on August 5. Alia has produced a film with her hit single Eternal Sunshine Productions, in collaboration with Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film also marks the beginning of author Jasmeet K Reen. It contains the music of Vishal Bharaj and its lyrics by veteran Gulzar. Darling is the second Alia release this year after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangu bai Kathiawadi, who opened at the stadium in February.
