Defence Focus: INS Tarkash visited Djibouti of long range overseas deployment followed by Maritime Partnership Exercise with Sudan Navy

The Indian Navy’s stealth frigate INS Tarkash, has visited Djibouti as part of its long overseas expedition following the Maritime Partnership Exercise with the Sudan Navy. The ship will be shipped to Rio de Janerio, Brazil, which is intended to coincide with Independence Day which allows him to raise tricolor in South America at the event as part of Amrit Mahotsav’s Azadi Azadi.

In the most important port, Captain Abraham Samuel, the Chief of Staff, called Shri Ramachandran Chandramouli, the Honorary Ambassador of India to Djibouti. The Indian Navy maintains a continuous presence in the Gulf region of Aden as part of its mission-based deployment philosophy.

INS Tarkash also conducted Maritime Partnership Exercise with Sudan Navy ships Almazz (PC 411) and Nimer (PC 413) in the Red Sea near Sudan Naval Base on 07 July 2022. This work included -manouvs, vertical return flight operations, visit and board operations, and communication processes. It provided an opportunity to exchange expert knowledge and strengthen maritime cooperation between the two countries.

INS Tarkash is a modern platform and has an arsenal of weapons that makes his address threatened in all its forms. The ship is part of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet and operates under the operational command of the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.
