Governance Focus: NITI Aayog has released a collection of Ayush-based practices from each of the Union states and territories

NITI Aayog has released a collection of Ayush-based practices from each of the Union states and territories outlining details of Ayush-based programs and processes adopted by the States and the Union of India to contain and manage the COVID-19 outbreak. The collection was produced by Shri Suman Bery, Deputy Chairman, NITI Aayog, and Drs. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Minister of State for Ayush and WCD. The event was also attended by Dr. V K Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog, and officials of NITI Aayog and the Ayush Department. Since 2020, the world has been facing an unprecedented public health problem in the form of COVID-19. The countries and territories of the Union have been equal partners of the Union Government in controlling the COVID-19 outbreak in India. Ayush departments of States / UTs have joined hands with State Health Departments to strengthen India’s fight against COVID-19. There is a great appearance of Ayush and you need to keep the momentum, built on fidelity.

“It is important that the communication learned during the evaluation of the COVID-19 outbreak about how Ayush practices are practiced at the national and State levels has benefited the people. The collection provides information based on practices adopted by various countries and UTs in India to strengthen the global war against COVID-19, using Ayush resources and interventions. I am confident that this document will be an important information resource for foreign participants who have a network of traditional medicine programs. It will go a long way in our fight against COVID-19, other epidemics and epidemics in the future, ”NITI Aayog Deputy Chairman Shri Suman Bery said in a message.”In India, along with the modern medical system, Ayush programs have played a significant role in addressing the various health problems caused by the COVID-19 epidemic. “said Ayush State Minister Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai during the release of the compendium.

NITI Aayog member Dr. V K Paul in his message said, “I hope the practices outlined in this article will be helpful in dealing with any future outbreak of this epidemic and be an example of an inclusive health approach.”In preparation for the Ayush-based process, NITI Aayog reached out to all Provincial Governments and Union Area Managers, asking them to share the Ayush policies they have put in place to reduce and manage Covid-19.

Integrated processes are divided into five categories:

  • Overview and objectives of procedures adopted by States / UTs
  •  Ayush Human Resource and Infrastructure
  • Interventions and Measures
  •  Digital Platform and Tele-medicine
  •  Problems that have occurred or fixed. The collection also included a summary of the Ayush department, Indian Government guidelines, and efforts. The report states that the country’s traditional health care systems will be significantly strengthened. Integration of Ayush-based evidence-based services and mode.
