Governance Focus: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) conducted the 3rd edition Ranking of the States

The results of the 3rd edition of Ranking of States on Support to Start-up Ecosystems will be released by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Trade and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Clothing on July 4, 2022. event in New Delhi. The Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has developed the 3rd edition of the States ’Start-up Ranking Exercise with the ultimate goal of developing India’s vision of competitiveness and corporate cooperation. The project was launched in 2018 to encourage provinces and union areas to work towards reducing regulations for early growth and strengthening support for the ecosystem.

A total of 24 countries and 7 Union regions participated this year, an increase from 25 last year and the highest to date. As India becomes one of the world’s leading countries, business growth in the cities of Tier-II and Tier-III in the country has become necessary. There were 4 provinces / UTs with implementation policies in 2016. Today, there are more than 30 provinces / UTs with implementation policies, and 27 provinces / UTs have their first state portfolio. This publication has 7 Comprehensive Transformation Areas covering 26 workplaces that are critical to providing regulatory, policy and economic support to beginners and ecosystem participants. Areas of change include Institutional Support, Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Market Access, Incubation Installation Support, Funding, Training Support and Capacity Building.

The third program of action assessed the support provided by provinces and union areas for the period 1 October 2019 to 31 July 2021. Their submissions were reviewed over a period of 6 months and feedback was collected from more than 7,200 beneficiaries in 13 different languages. . This type is unique as it highlights the extensive support provided by provinces and union areas to the first environmental plan during the global epidemic. The State Start-up Ranking Exercise Results 2021 and the solicitation of Mentorship, Advisory, Assistance, Resilience, and Growth (MAARG) Portal advisers will be announced on Monday, 4th July 2022 at 11:30 A.M. at Ashok Hotel, New Delhi with senior government officials from all provinces and participating UTs.
