Former politician Babul Supriyo on Wednesday recalled memories of the famous musician KrishnakumarKunnath, better known as KK, who died after an illness during an event in Kolkata. The Trinamool Congress leader told the ANI news agency that KK was a family man and lived a simple life, adding that he had never seen the artist go to many events.

“KK was a great musician and a man of the family. He lived a simple and quiet life. I have never seen him go to so many parties. I have so many memories with him,” ANI quoted Supriyo as saying.Music director and composer JeetGanguli has expressed his sadness at the death of KK.
In an interview, Ganguli said, “He sang many songs for me. He was only 53 years old. I lost a friend today.”KK passed away on Tuesday evening after an illness singing at a party in Kolkata. He was taken to CRM Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 53-year-old was one of the most diverse artists in the Indian film industry, with songs recorded in several languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali. Messages of grief, respect and comfort began to flow soon after KK’s death.”I can’t shake my head at this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is so hard to accept! My heart is broken,” renowned singer Shreya Ghoshal tweeted.
Singer, songwriter and music composer Vishal Dadlani wrote on Twitter: “Tears never end. What a person he was. What a voice, what a heart, what a man. #KK IS FOREVER !!!”.Famous singer Mohit Chauhan also sincerely praised his ‘dear friend’. He wrote on Twitter, “KK … not fair man. Not your time to go. It was the last time we were together to announce a visit together. How can you just walk away ? In shock.
