India Dominates England on Opening Day of 1st Test in Hyderabad

In the opening day of the 1st Test in Hyderabad, India dominated England, with the hosts showcasing an impressive performance. Veteran spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin played a pivotal role in limiting England to a total of 246. Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal’s counterattacking knock in the final session further strengthened India’s position, helping them finish ahead of the visitors.

Jaiswal’s brilliant innings, including his first Test half-century at home, has positioned India well in the match. With the hosts only 127 runs behind England in the first innings, Team India has the potential to take control of the series opener. Jaiswal’s aggressive approach and positive mindset received praise from former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan, highlighting the young opener’s ability to handle various bowling strategies.

Jaiswal batted at a strike rate of 108.57, remaining unbeaten on 76 off 70 balls. His explosive knock, featuring three sixes and nine fours, propelled India to a commanding position. The opener’s performance on the first day has set a positive tone for the hosts in the ongoing Test series against England.
