Leaked Photo of Ram Lalla Idol Sparks Concerns Ahead of Ayodhya Temple Consecration

In a development causing panic among officials and religious authorities, a photo of the newly carved Ram Lalla idol was leaked from the sanctum sanctorum ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, expressed strong disapproval, stating that the leaked image, showing the idol with open eyes, was incorrect and violated the sanctity of the prana pratishtha rituals.

Acharya Satyendra Das emphasized that the idol’s body had been covered with clothes during the ongoing rituals, and the eyes were not supposed to be open until the pran pratishtha was performed. He called for an investigation to identify and take action against those responsible for leaking the unauthorized photo.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, responsible for overseeing the construction and consecration of the Ram temple, is reportedly considering serious action against the individuals involved in leaking the photo. The trust suspects that officials engaged in the construction work at the temple site might be responsible for the leak.

The viral image of the black stone idol from Karnataka, crafted by sculptor Arun Yogiraj of Mysuru, depicted Ram Lalla in a standing posture adorned with a garland of roses. The consecration ceremony, scheduled for January 22, has heightened the anticipation among devotees, making the unauthorized release of such images a matter of serious concern for religious authorities.

As the investigation unfolds, the focus will be on identifying the individuals responsible and ensuring that such incidents are prevented in the future, safeguarding the sanctity of the consecration rituals at the historic Ram temple in Ayodhya.
