Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently received an informal letter inviting him to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya temple. The letter, received a few days ago, suggested that he block his dates for the event, which is scheduled to take place in a couple of weeks. However, as of now, there has been no subsequent formal invitation, according to party sources.
Meanwhile, the Congress has declined the invitation for the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony, calling it an event of the BJP and RSS. Senior Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have respectfully declined the invitation, stating that while Lord Ram is worshipped by millions, the BJP and RSS have politically exploited the temple project in Ayodhya.
The grand event in Ayodhya, where the idol of Ram Lalla will be installed, is scheduled for January 22, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony. The installation ceremony will span seven days, commencing on January 16, as per temple officials.
