International Airlines Suspend Flights to Tel Aviv Amid Security Concerns Israel

Several international airlines have temporarily suspended flight services to Tel Aviv following the recent Hamas militant attack on Israel. The airlines have cited safety concerns and are waiting for conditions to improve before resuming flights to the region.

U.S. carriers, including United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines, have announced the suspension of direct flights to Tel Aviv. These airlines typically operate direct services from major U.S. cities such as New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Miami. United Airlines stated that it had conducted two scheduled flights from Israel to the United States on Saturday and Sunday but would suspend services until conditions allowed for their resumption.

Delta Airlines representatives mentioned that flights had been canceled into the current week as they monitor the situation and make necessary schedule adjustments. International carriers have also taken similar actions. Air France, for instance, has suspended its flight services to Tel Aviv.

Hainan Airlines, the sole Chinese airline offering flights between China and Israel, has canceled flights between Tel Aviv and Shanghai due to the security situation in Israel. The airline operates routes between Beijing and Tel Aviv, as well as Shenzhen and Tel Aviv, and has indicated that future flight plans will depend on the evolving situation.

Cathay Pacific, which operates a flight between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv, announced the cancellation of its flight to Tel Aviv on Tuesday and plans to provide updates regarding the next flight scheduled for Thursday.

Korean Air has canceled its Monday flight between the South Korean port city of Incheon and Tel Aviv and anticipates that future flights may be irregular.

These flight suspensions reflect concerns over the security situation in the region and the need for airlines to prioritize passenger safety. Airlines are closely monitoring developments and will adjust their flight schedules accordingly as conditions permit.
