‘National Museum of Indian Cinema’ great film museum for everyone to see: Akshay Kumar

The National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) in Mumbai was recently visited by actor Akshay Kumar and his ‘Bachchan Pandey’ co-star Kriti Sanon.

On Sunday night, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and shared his thoughts on the various works of the renowned filmmakers at the museum. He wrote that having grown up watching the celebrated films throughout the years, being able to recreate those memories was nothing short of surreal. The National Museum of Indian Cinema is a great film museum that all film fans must see, the Tweet further read.

On the 19th of January 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the National Museum of Indian Cinema.

Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, was also present at the event and spoke about the many initiatives undertaken by the Centre to ensure that Indian film thrives on the national as well as on the global level.

The Prime Minister praised the Indian film industry for its huge contribution to the development of a new and better India. “How’s the josh?” asked the Prime Minister to the audience during the event, which is a popular phrase from the recently released film “Uri: The Surgical Strike.”

The crowd erupted in applause as the prime minister asked the question, and some euphoric representatives of the film industry present at the event shouted “High Sir”.

The National Museum of Indian Cinema also hosted a vintage and classic vehicle club of India exhibition for the actors of ‘Bachchhan Paandey,’ which is set to be released in theatres on the 18th of March 2022, as a part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
