Actor Parineeti Chopra got engaged to AAP member and MP Raghav Chadha on Saturday. The low-key event was held in Delhi with only close family and friends in attendance. Priyanka Chopra also flew down to be with her cousin on her big day. Photos and videos of the couple have been doing rounds on the media from the function, leaving fans gushing over their chemistry.
A video shared by a paparazzo account shows Parineeti Chopra crooning her song ‘Ve Maahi’ from Kesari for her fiancé as it was played at a function. She held him and made a lively gesture that she would follow him wherever he went. While her father looked lovingly at the couple, Raghav gave the actor a kiss on the cheek and hugged her.
The couple later appeared for the media outside the venue to be clicked. Parineeti wore a Manish Malhotra peach color salwar-kameez suit with embroidery and sequins. The politician, on the other hand, opted for a white layered sherwani designed by his uncle Pawan Sachdeva. The paps teased Raghav saying, ‘Rajneeti se Parineeti ho gaya’, leaving the newly engaged couple blushing.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the couple as they took to the comments section to wish them. Some comments read like “I love this jodi”, “Their happiness is contagious”, “He really loves her…good choice” and “Pari looks so happy, god bless them.”
After exchanging rings, Parineeti and Raghav shared a few pictures on Instagram to announce the news to the world. This is the first time either of them has acknowledged the relationship. “Everything I prayed for…I said yes! 💍,” she wrote in the caption.
The couple sparked dating rumors after they were photographed outside several restaurants in Mumbai a while back. Although they haven’t made any statements about their relationship, they were clicked in Mohali while attending an IPL match, confirming the rumors about them. Parineeti and Raghav were seen blushing as they waved to their fans.
