The whole world is moving ahead with a thought so that the problems like global warming can be curbed and, in this direction, India is also continuously working in such a way that electric vehicles can be increased by reducing petrol vehicles, so that the problems like carbon emissions can be reduced to some extent. Till then, keeping in mind the environment in the country, the government is giving a lot of emphasis on the use of electric vehicles. In the recent past, we have seen a lot of electric buses, vehicles, bikes, scooties running in the country, so now an electric highway is also going to be built in the country.
The vehicle running on the highway runs on petrol, diesel or CNG, the same will not happen on the electric highway, this highway will be only for electric vehicles, there will be wires on top of this electric highway. As it happens in a train, it means vehicles running on the highway. Will get electricity from these wires only and through which these vehicles will run means electricity will work as fuel for these vehicles. One more thing, electric vehicles can also be charged on the highway, for which charging points will also be installed.
The Government of India is committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. And in this direction, India wants to achieve the goal of Net Zero by the year 2070, in such a situation, electric vehicles are being promoted one after the other. Secondly, this highway will be completely eco-friendly, which will reduce pollution. And in today’s time, the way the prices of petrol are increasing, it is better that there is an option for which electric vehicle is the best option, due to which dependence on petrol and diesel will also decrease with time.
India is not the first country to make e-highway. Electric highways are being used in Sweden and Germany before India. Sweden is the first country in the world to start e-highway. Sweden started the first e-highway in 2018. After this, Germany started the electric highway in 2019 and now India is also working on it, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced it in Dausa, Rajasthan. The government is preparing to build an electric highway between Delhi and Jaipur. This way, after being fully prepared, this highway will get the title of being the country’s first e-highway.
Let us tell you that the name of China is also included in the countries running eco-friendly hydrogen trains, thus China has become the first country in Asia and the second country in the world after Germany.
