The total estimated revenue of Indian Railways on default basis during April 1 to October 8, 2022

The total estimated revenue of Indian Railways on default basis during April 1 to October 8, 2022 is Rs. 33476 crores, an increase of 92 percent compared to Rs. In the same period last year, 17,394 million crowns were achieved. In the reserved passenger segment, the total approximate number of passengers booked between April 1 and October 8, 2022 is 42.89 million compared to 34.56 million in the same period last year, representing an increase of 24%.

The revenue generated from the reserved passenger segment during April 1 to October 8, 2022 is Rs 26961 crore as compared to Rs 16307 crore in the same period last year, a growth of 65%. In the non-booked passenger segment, the total approximate number of passengers booked between April 1 and October 8, 2022 is 268.56 million compared to 90.57 million in the same period last year, representing an increase of 197%. The revenue generated from the non-reserved passenger segment for the period April 1 to October 8, 2022 stands at Rs 6,515 crore compared to Rs 1,086 crore in the same period last year, a growth of 500%.
