PM Narendra Modi addressed a public function after dedicating Phase I of Mahakaal Lok Project to the nation in ujjain

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed a public function after dedicating Phase I of Mahakaal Lok Project to the nation and performed pooja and aarti at the inner sanctum of Mahakaal Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister was honored upon his arrival. This was followed by Stuti Gaan from Shri Mahakaal by renowned singer Shri Kailash Kher and light, sound and fragrance show.

The Prime Minister began his speech by saluting Lord Mahakal and said, “Jai Mahakaal! This energy of Ujjain, this enthusiasm! This aura of Avantika, this splendor, this bliss! This glory of Mahakal, this greatness! There is nothing world-shattering about ‘Mahakaal Lok’. There is nothing ordinary about Shankara. Everything is supernatural and extraordinary. It is unforgettable and incredible.” The Prime Minister said that if one receives the blessings of Mahakaal, then the existence of Kaal (time) ceases, the boundaries of time dissolve and the journey from nothingness to infinity begins.

The Prime Minister said that Ujjain was not only the center of India as per astrological calculation but was also the center of the Indian soul. Ujjain is a city counted among the seven sacred puris and the place where Lord Krishna himself came for education. Ujjain saw the splendor of King Vikramaditya and the beginning of India’s golden age. The Prime Minister remarked that Ujjain has gathered history within itself.

“Every particle of Ujjain is imbued with spirituality and transmits ethereal energy in every nook and cranny.” The Prime Minister continued, “Ujjain has led India’s wealth and prosperity, knowledge and dignity, civilization and literature for thousands of years.

The Prime Minister explained: “To reach the pinnacle of success, it is necessary for a nation to touch its cultural heights and stand proudly behind its identity.” Referring to the importance of cultural self-confidence, the Prime Minister said, “The cultural splendor of a nation is so great only when the flag of its success is flying on the world stage. And to reach the pinnacle of success, it is also necessary for a nation to tap into its cultural excellence and stand proudly behind its identity.

“That is why in Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal, India has called for Panch Prans as ‘liberation from slavery mentality’ and ‘pride in our heritage’,” he added. For the same purpose, development work on the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is continuing at a rapid pace. Vishwanath Dham at Kashi adds pride to the cultural capital of India. Development work sets new records at Somnath. With the blessings of Baba Kedar in Uttarakhand, new chapters of development are being written in the Kedarnath-Badrinath pilgrimage area.

For the first time since independence, our four Dhams will be connected to All Weather Roads through the Chardham project,” the Prime Minister said. “The pride of many such centers of our spiritual consciousness is being restored across the country with the help of Swadesh Darshan and Prasad Yojana. And now in this series, this magnificent ‘Mahakaal Lok’ is also ready to welcome the future with the glory of the past,” added the prime minister.

Concept of the Jyotirlingas

The Prime Minister explained his concept of the importance of Jyotirlingas. He said, “I believe that this development of our Jyotirlingas is the development of Indian spiritual light, the development of Indian knowledge and philosophy. This cultural philosophy of India is reaching its peak again and is getting ready to lead the world.” The Prime Minister explained that Lord Mahakal is the only Jyotirlinga which faces south and it is such forms of Shiva whose Bhasma Aarti is known all over the world. “Every devotee definitely wants to see Bhasma Aarti in their life. I also see the vitality and aliveness of our India in this tradition,” Shri Modi added.

Talking about Lord Shiva, the Prime Minister said “Soyam Bhootim Vibhushanah”, that means one who carries ashes is also “sarvadhimpah always”. It is also eternal and indestructible. Therefore, where Mahakal is, there are no boundaries of periods. “In Mahakal Sanctuary, there is vibration even in poison. In the presence of Mahakala, there is revival even from the end,” he added.

Elaborating further on the role of spirituality in the life of the nation, Shri Modi said, “It is the spiritual self-confidence of our civilization that has kept India immortal for thousands of years. As long as these centers of our faith are awakened, the consciousness of India is awakened and the soul of India is awakened.

Spirituality and education

Recalling history, the Prime Minister spoke about invaders like Iltutmish who tried to destroy the energy of Ujjain. Shri Modi also recalled the efforts made in the past to exploit India. Quoting our sages and rishis, Sri Modi said, “What will death do to us in the shelter of Mahakal Shiva? He continued: “India was revived, then re-emerged from the energy of these authentic centers of faith. Today again, in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Amar Avantika proclaims the cultural immortality of India.

The Prime Minister shed light on what religion means to India and emphasized that it is a collective determination of our responsibilities. “The goal of our resolutions is the welfare of the world and the service of humanity.” Shri Modi reiterated that we worship Lord Shiva and bow down to Vishwapati who is involved in the welfare of the whole world in many ways. “This has always been the spirit of pilgrimages, temples, monasteries and faith centers in India,” he added. “How many inspirations can come out here for the good of the world, for the benefit of the world?” exclaimed Shri Modi.

Talking about spirituality and education, the Prime Minister pointed out that spiritual centers like Kashi were the capital of knowledge, philosophy and art along with religion and places like Ujjain were centers of research related to astronomy. The Prime Minister further explained that today’s New India is moving forward with its ancient values while reviving the tradition of science and research along with faith. “Today we are equal to the great powers of the world in the field of astronomy.”

Throwing light on India’s space missions like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan, the Prime Minister noted that today India is also launching satellites of other countries into space. “India is ready to take this leap in the sky,” added Shri Modi, “In the field of defence, India is moving full force towards self-sufficiency. From sports to startups, India’s youth are showcasing their talent on the world stage.” The Prime Minister said: “Where there is innovation, there will be renovation.” The Prime Minister remarked on the losses suffered during the years of slavery that “India is restoring its glory by renovating places of its pride, honor and legacy”.
