5 lakh compensation for people who die from bull attacks: Samajwadi Party

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday promised that if they voted to power in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022, it will give Rs. 5 lakh compensation to the families of the people who lost their lives in the bull-fighting accidents.

“If a person dies in a bull-fighting accident, Rs. 5 lakh compensation will be given by the SP government,” the party tweeted.

In the 2017 assembly elections, out of the 403 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, the Samajwadi Party (SP) had won 47 seats while the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won 312 seats. The Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) had won 19 and the Congress managed to win 7 seats.

The next Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled to be held in 2022.
