Actor Sonakshi Sinha‘s brother, Luv Sinha, has finally broken his silence on why he was absent from her wedding last month. Sonakshi married Zaheer Iqbal in a civil ceremony on June 23, attended by her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, but notably not her brother Luv.
Luv addressed the rumors surrounding his absence by sharing a news article on X (formerly Twitter) that speculated about his reasons. He confirmed his non-attendance, citing a lack of connection with certain people involved in the event. “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team,” he wrote.
The article Luv shared hinted at controversy surrounding Zaheer Iqbal’s father’s business dealings. It referenced rumors about the groom’s family’s ties to a politician involved in ED (Enforcement Directorate) inquiries and mentioned a stint in Dubai that allegedly ended abruptly. There were also insinuations about a superstar with strong UAE connections being involved.
Despite Luv’s absence, the other Sinha brother, Kussh, made a brief appearance at the wedding. Kussh’s wife and other family members supported Sonakshi during the celebration. The newlyweds, Sonakshi and Zaheer, later hosted a grand wedding reception in Mumbai, attended by Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Rekha, Tabu, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kajol, and Raveena Tandon.
While the wedding celebration was a joyful occasion for many, Luv Sinha’s decision to stay away highlights underlying tensions and personal disagreements within the family regarding the marriage.
