Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the trailer of Dulquer Salmaan starrer’s upcoming film King of Kotha. The film opens on August 24. Shah Rukh shared the Hindi version of the action-thriller, which sees Dulquer playing a tough avatar of an “angry young man”. Responding to the post, Dulquer expressed his gratitude to Shah Rukh and called himself a ‘fanboy forever’.
Taking X, Shah Rukh wrote, “Congratulations on an impressive #KOKTrailer, @dulQuer! Looking forward to the film. Big hugs and best wishes to the entire team!” He shared a link to the trailer and tagged other cast members of the film, including Aishwarya Lekshmi and Shabeer Kallarakkal.
The trailer introduces Dulquer as an ambitious young man who wanted to become a notorious goon like his father. A voice called Raju then introduces him as a ‘people’s hero’. As we see him beating up goons and going about his business, Dulquer’s character says, “A real man takes his love to his grave.” When challenges arise in his Kotha, he has to take on the enemy forces with full force. Directed by Abhilash Joshi, King of Kotha releases later this month on August 24.
Reacting to Shah Rukh’s post, Dulquer commented, “Thank you so much Mr. Shahrukh! This is such a huge moment for me! Fanboy forever (smiles and red heart emoticons)”
Meanwhile, Mohanlal unveiled the Malayalam version of the trailer on Twitter and wrote, “Delighted to present the #KOKTtrailer. Best wishes to the entire team of #KingOfKotha.” Responding to express his gratitude, Dulquer said, “Thank you so much Etto!!!! It means the world to me and the team! Thank you for your support and encouragement always! Lots and lots of love (smile and red heart emoticon)” In addition of which actor Suriya released the trailer in Tamil version and Nagarjuna did the same in Telugu.
Apart from King of Kotha, Dulquer also has the Netflix series Guns & Gulaabs, which is directed by Raj & DK and stars Rajkummar Rao, Gourav Adarsh and Gulshan Devaiah. It will premiere on Netflix on August 18.
