Governance Focus: Central government is giving high priority to science and technology, encouraging the country’s scientists to achieve greater success

Union Minister of State (Independent) Science and Technology; Minister of State (Independent Payment) Earth Science; MoS PMO, Workers, Public Complaints, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Atmospheric, Dr. Jitendra Singh today said India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is leading the world in resolving climate-related problems. The minister visited the Indian prime minister and one of the world’s most developed institutions, the “National Center for Medium Range Weather Forecast” (NCMRWF) in Noida.

The Minister said Prime Minister Modi had raised India’s voice on climate change in all parts of the world from time to time. He said in view of India’s vast region, diversity, diversity and leadership in disaster management, the world is looking to India for global challenges such as climate change. Dr. Jitendra Singh said the world should acknowledge and appreciate India’s high position over the next 25 years, as the country celebrates 100 years of independence, praising its scientific ability in research and development and innovation passing through the stage of an explosion of knowledge with enthusiastic young Indians seeking to explore a new dimension in the invention of science. He said the pace of scientific development in India was astounding and began to bear fruit in the world.

Dr. Jitendra Singh said India is at the forefront of climate forecasting and is the world leader, catering to so many and diverse people. He said the country has a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi who prioritizes science and technology, encouraging national scientists to achieve greater success. The Union Minister was of the opinion that the Indian youth are scientifically sound and the Government of India, too, is committed to promoting them by providing broad exposure. Dr. Jitendra Singh took a tour of the NCMRWF buildings and was told about the various services, operations and activities by Dr. Ashis K. Mitra, Head, NCMRWF.

The Minister was also briefed on the latest Indian computer and computer center CRAY X-MP, which was installed at the NCMRWF in 1988 and operated until 1999. Dr. M Ravichandran, secretary, M / o Earth Sciences, and Senior Officials of the M / o Earth Science and NCMRWF were also present during the visit worldwide making data estimates. The center is also one of the top users of the National Knowledge Network (NKN).
