Parle is considering the purchase of Polish partner Dr. Gerard of private equity firm

Indian biscuit manufacturer Parle Products is considering the purchase of Polish partner Dr. Gerard of private equity firm Bridgepoint, the sources reported on Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Dr. Gerard is valued at 10 billion to 12 billion rupiah ($121.72 million to $146.07 million), the report said, with one of the people it cited saying it could be as much as 24 billion rupiah.

Founded in 1993, Dr Gerard makes more than 200 different biscuits and savory snacks and exports to more than 30 countries, according to its website. Bridgepoint, which in 2013 bought Dr. Gerarda of France’s Groupe Poult, instructed investment bank Houlihan Lokey to exit the business earlier this year before the Russia-Ukraine war significantly slowed the sale process, the report added. Parle, Bridgepoint and Dr. Gerard did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
