Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed optimism after the Gujarat government signed a ₹ 1.54 crore MoU with Vedanta-Foxconn group for semiconductor and imaging equipment manufacturing. The Prime Minister also pointed out that the investment will have a significant impact in boosting the economy and jobs, while helping to create a huge ecosystem for ancillary industries, thereby helping our SMEs.

Sharing a tweet from the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, the Prime Minister tweeted; “This MoU is an important step to accelerate India’s semiconductor manufacturing ambitions. The investment of Rs 1.54 crore will have a significant impact in boosting the economy and jobs. This will also create a huge ecosystem for ancillary industries and help our SMEs.”
