New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and fostering quality family time during his annual ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha‘ programme, addressing parents and students alike. He urged for the creation of a “no gadget zone” inside homes, advocating for uninterrupted family interactions free from the distractions of technology.
PM Modi highlighted the necessity of “recharging” not only electronic devices but also our bodies, drawing parallels between the need for mobile phones to be charged and individuals needing adequate sleep. He emphasized, “If your mobile requires charging, then shouldn’t you prioritize charging your body as well? Proper sleep is crucial for overall well-being.”
“There should be a designated ‘no gadget zone’ within the home. During family gatherings, such as at the dining table, phones should not be used for communication,” he added.
Addressing the various stresses faced by students, PM Modi categorized them into three types: peer pressure, parental pressure, and self-induced pressure.
“At times, children may feel pressured by their own expectations of performance. I recommend setting small goals during preparation and gradually improving performance, ensuring readiness before exams,” he advised.
PM Modi underscored the pivotal role of students in shaping India’s future, likening the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme to an examination for himself.
“Our students are the architects of our future,” PM Modi affirmed.
Organized by the Ministry of Education, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ has been a platform for engaging students, parents, and teachers for the past six years, facilitating discussions on exam-related stress and strategies for success.
