Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that congress believe in black magic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hit out at the Congress for wearing black clothes on August 5 to protest against rising prices, saying those who believe in “black magic” will never be able to win people’s trust. Inaugurating a second generation ethanol plant worth Rs 900 crore here, the Prime Minister also attacked some opposition parties for engaging in politics for free, saying such things would only harm the nation as it hampers investment in new technologies.

“On the fifth of August, we saw how some people tried to spread ‘black magic’. These people think that by wearing black clothes they can end their despondency. But they do not know that by engaging in witchcraft, black magic and superstition, they cannot regain the trust of the people, ” Modi said. The Congress protested the rising prices on August 5 by wearing black clothes inside and outside Parliament.
