Bollywood Celebrities Step Out to Vote in Lok Sabha Elections 2024

On Monday morning, several Bollywood celebrities were seen stepping out of their homes in Mumbai to cast their votes for the Lok Sabha elections. Among the early voters were Janhvi Kapoor, Tabu, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, and Rajkummar Rao, who posed for the paparazzi after exercising their democratic right.

Janhvi Kapoor, dressed in a pink suit and matching heels, proudly displayed her inked finger after voting. Tabu, seen in a white shirt and navy blue trousers, also showed her finger smeared with indelible ink.

Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram Stories to share a selfie from his car post-voting, urging everyone to cast their votes. “Cast your vote. Every vote matters,” he wrote.

Aamir Khan’s children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan, were also seen posing for the cameras after casting their votes. Ira wore a T-shirt and tights, while Junaid opted for a T-shirt and shorts. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal was seen in a navy blue T-shirt and shorts as he voted.

Sanya Malhotra, dressed in an oversized T-shirt and trousers, posed for the paparazzi, showing off her inked finger. Shriya Saran, along with her mother, also cast her vote in Mumbai, donning a pink suit and quickly posing for photos before leaving.

Pooja Bhatt shared a picture on Instagram featuring herself and her father, Mahesh Bhatt, both showing their inked fingers. “Walked our talk. Talked our walk! Was thrilled to see a long line at the polling booths at 7.00 am this morning. Keep it up Bandra! Keep it up Mumbai! Please go vote. Your voice matters!” she wrote.

Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, and Rajkummar Rao were among the early voters. This marked the first time Akshay Kumar voted since receiving Indian citizenship. “I want my India to be developed and strong, and I kept these things in my mind when I went to cast my vote. All Indians should think what is right for them and vote,” he said after voting in Juhu.

Farhan Akhtar, while waiting in line at a polling station in Bandra West, told PTI, “My vote is for good governance, the government that looks after all the people, gives us a better city. I just heard from somebody that young people are complaining that it’s too hot, but it’s not hot at all, so please do step out, do vote.”

Polling began at 7 am in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra, including six in Mumbai. The participation of these celebrities highlights the importance of voting and encourages citizens to make their voices heard.
