Noida witnessed a horrifying crash on Sunday evening when a speeding Lamborghini lost control and plowed into a group of labourers sitting on a footpath near Charkha roundabout. The high-end sports car, driven by Deepak Kumar from Ajmer, Rajasthan, turned into a lethal machine, leaving chaos in its wake.
According to Noida ADCP Sumit Shukla, the accident occurred around 5 PM, and initial investigations revealed that Deepak was a car dealer who had come to Noida for a test drive. The Lamborghini, registered in Pondicherry, belonged to YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, a Noida-based content creator with a massive following of over 18 million subscribers.
Police reports indicate that Deepak claimed the accident was due to a fault in the vehicle. However, authorities are probing further to ascertain the exact cause of the crash. Bhupendra Singh, in charge at Sector 126 Police Station, confirmed that an investigation is underway.
Mridul Tiwari, widely known for his comedy videos, has built a massive digital presence since launching his YouTube channel in 2018. His channel saw exponential growth, crossing a million subscribers by March 2020. Apart from his YouTube success, he commands a strong following on Instagram, with over 3 million fans.
In 2023, Tiwari added a Lamborghini Huracan to his collection, a car he once flaunted as the “World’s 1st Lamborghini with Jai Shree Ram.” The luxury vehicle, now at the center of a tragic accident, has raised questions about reckless driving and responsibility in the hands of high-performance car owners.
As police dig deeper into the incident, the focus remains on ensuring justice for the victims and determining whether negligence or mechanical failure led to this devastating crash.
