“Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari” is a campaign organized under the Azadi of Amrit Mahotsav

The Department of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy Farming has organized a weekly “Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari” campaign from 25 to 30 April 2022 in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare as part of the ongoing celebration of Azadi Ka AmritMahotsav. On the fourth day of the campaign, a virtual awareness session was organized on 28 April 2022 by the Department of Fisheries (DoF) in partnership with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy (DAHD). The main purpose of the awareness session was to raise awareness among fishers, fish farmers, dairy farmers and other dairy producers about the various schemes implemented by the Department of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy and encourage them to reap the benefits.

The Minister of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy Dairy, Shri ParshottamRupala hosted the event and shared his important details on various social issues while highlighting the importance of the fishing and livestock sector in employment and livelihoods, and interviewed farmers from various regions and encouraged them. to receive benefits under the various programs of the Department. Drs. L Murugan, Honorable Minister of State and Shri Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Hon.

Drs. O.P Chaudhary, Co-Secretary, DAHD welcomed guests and participants and shared his thoughts on the event. The session highlighted the various NLM / RGM / AHIDF business schemes as well as DoF’s flagship program “Pradhan MantriMatsyaSampadaYojana (PMMSY), the Fisheries Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF) and the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) for Farmers and Allied Organizations ., Fish, and related activities.The event was broadcast live on the official Facebook page of DAHD with many people joining online.More than 1 Lakh farmers joined the session from about 2000 locations across India.

Shri SagarMehra, Co-Secretary, Inland Fisheries, GoI shared his concluding remarks with a vote of thanks to everyone, especially the farmers for their enthusiasm and strong participation. The success stories of the fish entrepreneurs’ success were shown to enhance business opportunities in the fishery and to encourage existing farmers.
