Rajinikanth’s Blockbuster Triumph: Jailer Celebrations Mark ₹300 Crore Milestone

Superstar Rajinikanth rejoices in the monumental success of his Tamil film “Jailer,” taking a break from his spiritual journey up north. The film, helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar, has soared past the remarkable ₹300 crore mark at the domestic box office. In a joyous celebration, Rajinikanth, accompanied by the film’s team, shared a special moment cutting a cake.

“Jailer” has emerged as the crowning jewel of Tamil cinema this year, outshining even “Ponniyin Selvan II.” Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to X to share glimpses of the jubilant gathering, highlighting the film’s status as the most profitable venture of the year.

The celebration coincided with the buzz surrounding Rajinikanth’s rumored 170th film, with fans trending ‘Thalaivar 170’ on X. Reports hint at a pooja (ceremonial ritual) for the mahurat (commencement) of his upcoming film, although some sources refute the claim.

“Jailer,” which released on August 10, soared beyond competition, with prominent releases like Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” and Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2.” The film, featuring a star-studded ensemble including Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, and Yogi Babu, is poised to surpass ₹600 crore worldwide after its incredible domestic success.

Rajinikanth’s journey didn’t stop at the silver screen; his recent spiritual expedition took him to renowned temples across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand, where he sought blessings and solace. The anticipation for his 170th film builds excitement as Rajinikanth prepares for yet another cinematic journey, sharing the spotlight with iconic figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, and Sharwanand.
