For the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Suresh Raina will lead a procession of sparkling stars and cricketing icons in the commentary panel.
The 15th edition of the IPL will have 85 commentators and the commentaries will be heard in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Bengali, and the newly introduced Gujarati stream.
Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of the Indian men’s team, is returning to the commentary booth. At the same time, Piyush Chawla, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni are gearing up to mark their debut. Mayanti Langer Binny will also be returning after an absence of two-year.
IPL 2022 will be broadcast in nine languages with the aim to draw in fans closer to the enthralling game. With the addition of the Gujarat Titans this season, a new Gujarati stream has been added to the total offering for fans. Dhavnit Thaker, a well-known radio personality who is also a Gujarati actress and musician, will join the Gujarati commentary crew with Nayan Mongia and Manprit Juneja, among others.
