A contingent of the Indian Air Force today left for Malaysia to take part in a bilateral exercise named ‘Udarashakti’. The Indian Air Force is participating in the air exercise with Su-30 MKI and C-17 aircraft, while the RMAF will fly Su 30 MKM aircraft. The Indian contingent flew from one of its airbases directly to its destination, RMAF Kuantan.

The exercise will give the IAF contingent members an opportunity to share and learn best practices with some of the best professionals from the RMAF while discussing each other’s combat capabilities.

The four days of the exercise will witness the execution of various air combat exercises between the two air forces. Ex Udarashakti will strengthen the long-standing bond of friendship and strengthen avenues of defense cooperation between the two air forces, thereby enhancing security in the region.
